inspiration in all its mediums

bits and pieces of my life as a designer. | www.eufia.com
absolutely, positively beautiful. she’s definitely been inspiring me since.. since… well, forever.

Lately I’ve been having what I’ve come to assume is “designer’s block,” rather than writer’s block. My SS2012 collection is in the works, but has come to a halt. I think it’s because I’ve gone back and forth with a few different concepts/stories that have been battling it out in my brain, leaving me pretty frustrated. Design details are solid, and fabric choices are pretty secure, but I’ve been going nuts changing up silhouettes. Someone might need to punch me soon.

So in an effort to get out of this designer rut, I’ve been googling images of one of my favorites of all time, Shannyn Sossamon.

Damn she’s a beauty. Even in her weirdest photos, she still is. And her easy going, sometimes awkward fashion sense has probably been what I’ve loved about her the most since the beginning. The picture above is from a scene in “Wristcutters: A Love Story.” I watched the film almost 5 years ago, and I’d definitely recommend it.

It’s weird. Cute. And a little bit trippy.
Go watch it.

And I’ll continue my journey to destroy my “designer’s block.” I will conquer.
